Archived Wicks' Words: January - March 2009 13th March 2009 It all seems a bit doom and gloom out there in the economy at the moment isn't it! The good news is that with the interest rate so low, and prices for goods falling, this should signal the start of some regeneration in spending. And if house prices continue to fall, there will surely reach a point where first time buyers will start buying, especially now that the mortgage market has opened up. Until that point comes, and spending increases, sitting tight and focusing on customer service and retention is a good starting point to recession survival. Removals companies should look on the bright side - less people with mortgages means more renters, and therefore more frequent moves perhaps? And companies looking to downsize through relocation to save on costs (like the BBC) will still need reliable, effective, efficient removal companies.
9th March 2009 Have a look at our news pages for pictures of Teacrate's new BC12 Bottle Crate on display in the windows at Harvey Nichols in London. We're not sure about the giraffe featured in the display, but the crate looks great in their jungle themed exhibit.
25th February 2009 Are you involved in making or transporting wine, spirits or other beverages? If so then take a look at our new product - the BC12. It's a stackable plastic crate for carrying and storing up to a dozen bottles at a time. It's available to rent or to buy, and is a great alternative to cardboard packaging. Find out more at www.teacrate.com/bc12.aspx
Don't forget, the Movers and Storers Show is this Friday and Saturday at the NEC. We will be exhibiting and are looking forward to what promises to be a great show.
9th February 2009 It's less than 3 weeks to go now before The Movers and Storers Show 2009 at the NEC in Birmingham. We'll be exhibiting at stand 118, where visitors will have the opportunity to find out more about our new initiative Bank on Teacrate. It's a great scheme where you can earn extra money for your business by recommending PHS products and services to your clients. You can also save money in a cash back incentive, depending on how much you spend with us. So, it makes sense to get all your crate rental, packaging and handling equipment from Teacrate.

4th February 2009 I hope you're all keeping safe out there in the wintry weather! I think the emergency services and local authorities are doing a great job helping us all get through the snow and ice.
On a brighter note, we're soon to be launching two new products, one that can be used for both the removals and retail industries, and the other that is a great addition to our food and retail range. The first of these is expected in the new financial year, and the second will be officially launched in a matter of weeks. Check back here for more info soon!
