Teacrate promotes its sustainable RTP solutions at Foodex 2010

12 Feb 2010

PHS Teacrate, part of the PHS Group, and one of the UK’s leading Returnable Transit Packaging (RTP) suppliers will be exhibiting in the Food & Drink Logistics area of Foodex 2010 (Stand S050).  Here Teacrate will be showcasing its wide range of plastic transfer products to food & drink logistics and supply chain buyers including crates, containers, totes, hygiene pallets, trays and boxes.

With the increasing trend towards sustainability, RTP is fast replacing one-trip packaging in the food industry, as the preferred carrier for transporting and storing a wide range of food products.  Furthermore, RTP offers an easy-to-manage solution with controlled and predictable costs.

PHS Teacrate handles the delivery and collection of RTP wherever and whenever required.  With their 9 strategically located and fully stocked depots and a nationwide fleet of vehicles, next day delivery across the UK is standard.

“Our key objectives for Foodex are to further raise awareness of PHS Teacrate within the UK food & drink sector, promoting our capabilities and strengths in RTP supply”, comments Ruth Scruton, Marketing Manager at Teacrate.  “We have a proven track record in this sector and want to let people know about this at Foodex”.

Teacrate’s food industry products are available for rent, lease or to buy outright.  Products may be ordered in a variety of colours, with or without logo branding.  With their in-house RTP wash service, Teacrate provides additional value to customers requiring total hygiene compliance to food industry standards.  The high spec machines and flexible processes allow Teacrate to service the needs of the different food related industries such as diary, baking and meat processing.

Teacrate offers an unrivalled level of service and support that is delivered through its specialist team of advisors operating nationwide.  Teacrate’s team work with customers to tailor solutions to their very specific requirements.  Additional support for seasonal variations in demand for RTP is provided through Teacrate’s innovative Dynamic Pooling system.  Linked to this is the flexibility of Teacrate’s 24 hour online crate management system “Cratelink”, which allows customers to order online, specify collections and deliveries, amend orders and produce reports, all at their own convenience. Cratelink helps cut down on paperwork, saves time and money and ensures that customers only order the number of units they need.
