Teacrate recently helped the homeless charity ‘Shelter‘ with a project that celebrates Shelter’s 50th anniversary!
Teacrate generously loaned 40 x LC3 crates for a day to essentially build a little house in the main shopping high street in Newcastle centre. Shelter filmed a flash mob interacting with the display in a highly populated shopping area! The ‘build a house’ project allowed Shelter to ignite public interest in a very busy part of town to show who we they are and what they do in the North East.
This year marks Shelter’s 50th year, who have helped over four million people with housing and debt. They are seeing ever more desperate situations and their research has suggested that there will be 120,000 children nationally waking up homeless this Christmas.
By being able to highlight the work they do in the North East, they can help people to understand where to access advice and support and where to come before they reach crisis point.
